Anne again gives us a high quality book with a stunning cover, foiled title and detail with fitting illustrations of many scenes (mundane and intimate)!
This is definitely a read for people that are familiar with what the omegaverse entails. The story follows Amos and Murano, of which the latter is a beta applying for the PA position of the alpha CEO, which is Amos.
Off to a not so great start at the interview, Amos and Murano discover that they work exceptionally well together and have a great professional chemistry- along with the banter.
Until Amos one day catches a trace of omega pheromones on his beta subordinate, which also turns out to be his mate match. Those pheromones cause him to go into a rut, and that's where the story starts to pick up.
It gives us a closer look into the a/b/o-dynamics, explaining the genre itself well within the story for readers who haven't been introduced to it yet. But not only that, we get a closer look at Murano as a person, his struggles and what “the wrong scents” truly mean. It is a theme that you discover pleasantly within the whole story and not only from Murano. Amos too gets his fair share.
If you want to know how the wrong scents turn out right but sprinkled with banter, secrets and some action, pick up The Scent of Glass.
